Galerie Francesca Pia showed a retrospective of Thomas Bayrle’s work of the past 40 years. In addition to prints, relief sculptures and wallpaper, the exhibition included specially commissioned garment designs by Clemens en August for the artist in a woven shoe pattern from 1967. These pieces were also part of a 2008 MADE IN MUNICH exhibition at the Hausderkunst.

For Texte zur Kunst Thomas Bayrle has conceived a limited edition shirt entitled “Tassen/Tassen 1968/2008“ produced in cooperation with the concept fashion label Clemens en August. The shirt comes in an edition of 100 + 20 APs and is available in sizes XS, S, M, L and XL. Each shirt has an edition label sewn inside and is accompanied by a signed and numbered certificate. Price: 245,00 Euro plus shipping.
